WARNING: Israel can add US Hamas supporters to JTTF Watch Lists
Victim or Terrorist, AIPAC driven neocon rules from Bush-era for counter-terror watch lists haven't *really* changed all that much.
Remember counter-terror watch lists? Well, they are certainly back in the news after a surge of foreign nationals came over from Mexico and another war in the Middle East.
So let’s refresh & review.
What is the US counter-terror watch list and how does it work?
The Terrorist Screening Database (TSDB) is a consolidated database of information about people known or "reasonably suspected" of being involved in terrorist activity. Maintained by the FBI's Terrorist Screening Center, the list is a counter terrorism tool that helps government agencies identify known or suspected terrorists who are trying to get visas, enter the United States, board aircraft or engage in other suspicious activity. It connects law enforcement agencies, homeland security, intelligence communities and select international partners.

What can happen to you if you are on the watchlist?
Is the US watchlist Constitutional if applied to US nationals?
The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, Sixth Circuit, and Tenth Circuit have upheld the TSDB against legal challenges.[15]
In 2019, in a case brought by a group of Muslim Americans against the government Judge Anthony Trenga of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia ruled that "the TSDB fails to provide constitutionally sufficient procedural due process, and thereby also violates the Administrative Procedures Act." The court based its ruling on the lack of an "independent review of a person's placement on the TSDB by a neutral decisionmaker" and the lack of an available remedy to fix mistakes, as persons listed "are not told whether or not they were or remain on the TSDB watchlist and are also not told the factual basis for their inclusion."[16] In 2021, however, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit reversed the district court's ruling; in an opinion written by J. Harvie Wilkinson III, the court ruled that the TSDB's operation did not unlawfully burden the plaintiffs' right to travel given the government's compelling interest in national security and that "The delays and burdens experienced by plaintiffs at the border and in airports, although regrettable, do not mandate a complete overhaul of the TSDB."[15][17][18]

Can news managers or foreign States add you to terrorist watchlist for your personal politics?
Certain people have tried. Foreign governments can add US citizens to their own terrorism watchlists. In Israel, as of yesterday, ironically, it’s a misdemeanor to watch Hamas or Islamic State propaganda online. So if you see a pro-Hamas rally or attend one in the US you could go to jail in Israel or they could just add you to an international terror watch list for providing sympathy support to Hamas.
The JTTF or Joint Terrorism Task Force fields counter-terror information from priority ally States, like Europe and, of course, Israel. Don’t forget, Good American Stasi vigilante reporters develop their own lists to send to the US Fusion Centers, as well.
How do you get off of a counter-terror watch list?
To date, 98.3% of people on the list are Muslim citizens. For those found faultless, even after remediation process, there are still sanctions of some kind after removal from the lists.
So lawsuits have been filed recently to abolish counter-terror watch lists for non-criminal and constitutionally protected activity.
Per recommendations for parents of college age activists, please see this and my former editorial as admonition.
