Dorsey's Exit Could Be Equivocated To A Denuded Emperor

Twitter has not been able to beat a rising & sticky reputation for arrogance, socialism & censorship driven by APAC interests, alongside unethically applied proprietary technology.

To illustrate the fabled Emperor’s New Clothes, please read Twitter's self-exonerating blog entry. This was their effort toward how they proved, internally, their algorithm does not censor conservative or other seen rival political narrative views.

Did they invite outside technical auditors based on emerging standardized metrics? It does appear everything they performed was an orchestration of in-house government, held accountable to in-house determinations and resources, as well as training data.

One could wonder why handling this in-house exclusively. My best guess is some combination of thin skinned authoritarianism passed off as ‘conscious corporatism’. It isn’t rare for this to occur. There are a lot of tech companies who won’t allow their enterprise to be audited by crosssection, segmented or tented code reviews. The lack of algorithmic transparency with the computer science field essentially boils down to an unwillingness to face public examination of their work.

Dorsey seems to merely be standing aside to allow his monstrous illiberal platform, apostate to American First Amendment speech, get beat into humility by the marketplace, by science, and by competition. While I think it is his personal right to ply UBI garbage policy, he is fundamentally an American kid who better resembles Western Oregon and Idaho constituencies.

Twitter's original governance machinery was up to the challenge of liberal speech. Now it is framed up against tightly controlled machine learned speech minders. Twitter has become a totalitarian oligarchy, automated by biased former USSR expats and socialist Brahmans, hand sorted by Chinese business minders for "harm, safety and social wellbeing". It’s the dataveillance template for the cloud to absorb us all, as human property, into a metaverse collective to work for free, indefinitely, right?

This is Dorsey’s fault.  He should have been less 'supportive' of American leftist politics in his business, but he isn't a statesman or a policy wonk.  He wasn't informed by a group of domestic computer interests.... because he fell into the global business crowd.

It seems like the usual story: CEO, America-shamed into compliance with CFP universal mind control edicts AND CRAP COMPUTER SCIENCE.  Stuff that breaks all the time. Outages.  Breakdowns. Planned Obsolescence. More buddy labor favoritism as a form of chain migration. Castigation and business castration threats from China and the US unelected mob enforcement. It is often a technocratic paid troll army: the Ten Cent Party, or stock contractors in former-USSR republics. These nuisances were all tolerated in retrospect, as Users and the platform itself, suffered from trained reputational attacks that eventually became savage cancel culture attacks.

If you don't like my take on it, you could always check with Vivek Raviswami, the guy who wrote the book on, 'Woke Inc'. I am sure he’s already seen much of the social science I have. I am open to debate. So is he. Unfortunately, Twitter won’t be expected to rise to the level of interpersonal debate necessary to support a free society. They have a rather intolerant view of people of different political types ‘mixing’. It messes their tight demographic datasets for controlled activity.

The Left is being repudiated in technology circles as their hardware, software and scientists are leaving the former experimental and creative foundry of California and migrating to Texas, where the Left won’t bother them.

HOW TO SAVE TWITTER

Twitter’s long term survival as an American enterprise requires an external scientific beat down in the public square.  An intellectual Ides of March, essentially a knife party from other computer science peers.  Our institutions of higher learning have stepped off of a lemming cliff in so many ways, but none more damaging than disallowing inspection of your flaws in order to allow for improvement.

If Twitter's computer science self-assessment does not suddenly suffer from a peer reviewed panel of engineers who examine their control:variable extension, based on the return data... I will suggest the work of University of Washington scholar, whom I respect a lot, Carl Bergstrom. He conducted a scientific analysis class for data aptly titled; 'Callin' Bullshit'. His methods are open for peer review against say, John Hopkins, MIT, Brown, Berkman and Stanford CIS.

They are all still competing with each other. If there is one thing more reliable than University collectivism, it is the chauvinism and cuckery of preening scholars driven to beat each other to death on the floor of the coliseum, for funding and for intellectural dominance. They do eat their own, on occasion.

Expect it.
